Indication

Indicated in livestock (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, horses) for a wide range of bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, urinary tract infections, and other diseases caused by susceptible bacteria (e.g., Pasteurella, Mannheimia, E. coli).

Dosage & Administration for Ceftivet LA

• Example from one product listing:

  • Cattle, sheep, goats: 1 mL/50 kg body weight IM.

  • Pigs: 1 mL/16 kg body weight IM.

Dosage & Administration for Septotr

• Route: Slow IV, IM or SC injection.

• Typical dose for cattle/sheep: 13.4 mg sulfamethoxypyridazine + 2.7 mg trimethoprim per kg body weight per day (equivalent to approx. 1 mL/15 kg b.w.) via slow IV/IM.
